Joan and I flew Anchorage to visit Mike and Angie and their two daughters, Sofie and Ainsley. We traveled through Portland Ore on the way up. Carrying frozen chilies I was somewhat concerned that they might thaw, but they did not. Our Stop over was pleasant as the airport is built on a human scale.

We arrived late, 2:00am and were picked up by Mike. We had a great cozy time. We ate, took the girls to school on Friday morning. We drove around a bit washed Mike’s cool truck. All four wheels steer the beast. Over the weekend, we took the girls sledding, went to a U of A vs. U of Wisconsin hockey game, went out to dinner, went shopping and made a great crab and fish dinner.

Mike's house is three times the size as mine.

North to Alaska

Today Joan and I are off to Alaska on of course, Alaska Airlines. We leave in a few hours. Unfortunately, this time of year, there are no direct flights, so we must travel through Portland Oregon. We are visiting Mike and his family in Anchorage. It is actually warmer there today than here. Pictures posted upon our return.
